“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 ESV
Worship isn’t only about singing songs — it’s also about trust. Every time we choose to rely on God instead of ourselves, we’re worshiping Him. Every time we surrender control, we’re declaring, “God, You are greater than me. You are worthy of my trust.”
That’s not always easy. We like to see the plan. We want the answers. We crave certainty. But worship often looks like choosing faith in the middle of the unknown. It’s saying, “Lord, I don’t understand this situation, but I believe You do.”
Proverbs 3 reminds us not to lean on our own understanding — and that’s hard, because our understanding feels so real, so pressing. But when we acknowledge God in all our ways, even the confusing ones, we’re offering Him a deeper kind of worship: surrendered trust.
Maybe right now you’re standing in a season of waiting. Or maybe life feels unclear, and you’re not sure what comes next. Remember this: trusting God is worship. It honors Him more than perfect words or flawless songs ever could.
So today, take a step of trust. Lay down the need to have it all figured out. Let your heart say, “God, I don’t know the way forward, but I know You. And that’s enough.”
That’s worship.
