DISCIPLE-MAKING MAP

The most important part of a map when you looking for direction is knowing where you are. Where you are helps you know what you need to do to get where you are supposed to go. Our Disciple-Making Pathway is just that! A map to help you know where you are and where you need to go. Jesus was very intentional in how He called His disciples and we should pay attention to what He did because he is the one who called us to make disciples. There are four phases of our Disciple-Making Pathway:

GATHER
GATHER: John the Baptist’s disciples were curious about who Jesus was so that followed Him questioned Him. Jesus replied “Come and see” (John 1:39). For us we need to help people explore the claims of Christ and find answers to their spiritual questions. This is primarily invitational evangelism, inviting people into a relationship with Jesus and inviting them to our church.
The YELLOW line denotes a person’s decision to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
CONNECT
CONNECT: The first time Jesus met Peter and Andrew was not when He called them to “come and follow me and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:18-22). Jesus connected with them which help them to immediately leave their lives and follow Him. We need to help people to connect to Christ, our church, find community, and a ministry cause to serve.
GROW
This is your sub-headline

GROW: After Jesus called His disciples, He went further and asked them to “be with me” (Mark 3:14-15). Jesus did not just want followers He wanted these men to know Him and His heart. For us we need to train people to walk with God, reach their world, and invest in a few. This was modeled by Jesus in speaking to the multitudes, ministering with 12 disciples, but He really invested in three (Peter, James and John).

MULTIPLY

MULTIPLY: As Jesus was preparing His disciples, He was showing them the importance of “going and bearing fruit” (John15:16). Bearing fruit is a sign that you are truly His disciple. We must carry with us a mindset to multiply ourselves in others to multiply disciples, leaders, and one day churches.

Following Christ was never meant to be a stagnant receive only faith. It was meant to be a faith that is living and active making disciples as a lifestyle. What do you need to do to become a multiplier?
