Exalting Jesus Christ Through Song
At Shady Oaks we worship as a church family on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in our Auditorium. This is where we encounter God in a life changing way. We would love to have you worship with us this Sunday!
We believe that Worship is our response to God, personally and corporately, for who He is and for the great things that He has done. We desire to see every believer worship God personally by living lives that are pleasing to God (Romans 12:1), by reading and meditating upon His Word, and through constant prayer (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
One of the main ways that we worship corporately is through music. Although music is not in and of itself, worship, it is a command by God and demonstrated throughout the Bible (Psalm 95:1, Psalm 96:2, Psalm 98:4, Psalm 105:2, I Chronicles 15-16, Ephesians 5:19-20), and is a powerful way to approach God.
There are many areas of worship ministry that you can be involved in at Shady Oaks. If God has given you a passion for worship ministry and the ability to sing or play an instrument or a basic understanding of audio, video, or screen technology, we would love for you to contact us about the different areas of worship leadership that you can be involved in!
Celebration Choir . Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 p.m. (childcare is provided)
Members of our Worship Choir are passionate about worship and share a commitment and faithfulness to this vibrant ministry. Each week we look forward to rehearsing, as well as enjoying genuine fellowship and loving support of one another. Our desire is to assist in leading our congregation in worship to our Lord. Our motto is "the Audience of One" because it is not about our individual performances but for the glory and honor of God.
Praise Team & Band . Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Our 11:00 a.m. Worship service is driven by a choir, a team of singers and a band that lead in worship with the great hymns of our faith and some of the most current worship music of today.
This team of staff members and volunteers provides technical support during the worship services and at other special events, including sound, lighting, video and more.
